Death of a horror legend.

7 09 22

I think most people who enjoy horror may have heard the name “Christopher Lee” casually mentioned, but those of us who LOVE horror know exactly who he was. Of course he was an amazing actor and I would love to list a few things about Christopher Lee that many fans may already know and some that you may not.

I don’t want to start this blog in a somber tone, though it is very sad that Christopher Lee past away, he did live a long an amazing life. To survive to the ripe age of 93 in today’s world is actually rather an amazing achievement. Famous for many characters he played on screen such as; Dracula, Dr. Pierre Gerrard, The Mummy, Paul Allen, King Lico, Sherlock Holmes, Franklyn Marsh, Fu Manchu, Lord Summerisle, Scaramanga. His list of movies go on and on and needless to say he literally shone and stood out above everyone else, but then his 6 foot 5 inch height may have contributed to that.

When Christopher finished his services in the RAF (Royal Air Force) he had decisions that needed to be made about his future. He was offered the chance to go teach everything her learned in a school but he just could do this and therefore opted out of that. He was told acting would be great for him to pursue and referred to an agent who stated he was not the right look, but on another recommendation was suggested to go see a gentleman called David Henley whom immediately signed him to a seven year contract and so the legend of Sir Christopher Lee begins. With a list of TV and Movie credits reaching over 268 starting from 1946 when he was just 24 years old is a staggering amazement.

Christopher Lee was a mortal man that will be remember as a legend and rightfully so, his commitment to his chosen career has allowed us his fans to enjoy his work until we pass and his loyalty to his country made him a hero. So with this all being said “Sir Christopher Lee, you sir were a true English gentleman and a man whom set a standard for the generations that followed”
